How to Build a Strong Creator Profile

A concrete checklist for a creator profile that actually gets found, ranked, and reached out to — not just filled in.

A profile that's merely "filled in" and one that's actually working for you look different in a few specific, checkable ways.

The checklist

  • Profile set to public — private profiles don't appear in rankings, search, or Discover
  • Correct, specific category — pick the one that matches what you actually create, not the broadest option
  • Location set accurately — this determines which local leaderboard you compete on
  • A real bio — one to two sentences on who you are and what you make, not a placeholder
  • At least one connected social account, ideally all the ones you're active on
  • A clear avatar — no placeholder image or an unrecognizable crop
  • Messaging enabled, if you want brands to be able to reach out at all

Why each one earns its place

Every item on this list feeds directly into something visible: your category and location determine which ranking you're on, your connected accounts drive your Social Score, and your bio and avatar are what someone actually sees in the first few seconds on your profile or in a leaderboard row. None of it is decorative.

Check your own profile against it

Open your profile as a stranger would see it. If you can't tell what you create content about, what category you're in, or how to contact you within a few seconds, a brand scanning past dozens of profiles definitely can't either.

Put this into action

Create your profile, connect your accounts, and see where you land.
