Instagram rewards visual consistency and discovery-friendly formats more than almost any other platform. A few tactics matter disproportionately.
Reels are still the discovery engine
Static posts mostly reach people who already follow you. Reels are what get shown to people who don't — if visibility is the goal, Reels deserve most of your production time, not an afterthought after your feed post.
Bio real estate is precious
You get one link and about 150 characters. Don't waste it on a generic tagline — use it to say exactly what you make content about and where else people can find or contact you.
Connect it, don't just post it
Link your Instagram account to your RankMySocialMedia profile so your real follower count and growth count toward your Social Score and your category ranking. Unconnected growth doesn't show up anywhere brands or audiences are actually looking — it just sits inside Instagram's own app.
Post when your specific audience is active
Generic "best time to post" advice ignores that your audience isn't generic. Check your own Instagram Insights for when your followers are actually online, and post consistently in that window rather than copying a blog post's schedule.
